The Geezers priority this year was to assist to ensure that Newcastle Speedway survived disaster year 2004. Our limited funds had to go on advertising. But we did manage a couple of cheques to our reserves when the going got tough for them.
With more subscribers we hope to do more for our team next year. So come on and join us with a few pounds to boost the fund.

I have a potential small scale rider sponsorship for next season dependent upon some photo opportunities. I would prefer a locally based rider. Any ideas how much rider sponsorships go for? Do any of them have a 'price list'?
ie - wheel disc £250 - engine cover £100

I think that exiled fan has surfed into the wrong site by mistake and thought he was in the Berwick website as they sound to be nearer that than Newcastle thank goodness.
Why do you not publish a guide of costs for sponsorship as many business people may make an enquiry if they have a rough idea of cost rather than making an approach and feeling embarrasseds if the cost is more than they expect or they decide not to proceed.
This would also apply to corporate entertaining for the season and team sponsorships.
Is anyone starting a mailshot to the staff entertainment person at local companies suggesting a night at the speedway like they do for the dogs and horses. A letter followed up by a call or a personal invitation top come along themselves to see what is on offer may be the key to them organising a works outing or evening sponsorship.
How about contacting the professional associations?Institutes like Personnel or Surveyors, or Management and offer them an opportunity to have a talk from someone from the club on running a successful Sporting venture with a behind the scenes tour followed by an opportunity to watch a meeting. If you get the names of thoses attebnding you can follow them up afterwards for sponsorship or an outing for their staff.
